A Fireside Chat with Matthew Rees, Senior Human Resources Partner, ROCKWOOL Canada
Canadian businesses are under increasing pressure to find skilled talent, improve productivity and remain competitive. In fact, 63% of employers identify skills gaps as the biggest barrier to business transformation between 2025 and 2030 (World Economic Forum, 2025).
ROCKWOOL Canada experienced its own hiring challenge as demand for its products grew and the company needed to expand its workforce. Disability inclusion became part of their solution.
By changing how and where ROCKWOOL recruited, removing barriers in its hiring process, and focusing on the skills candidates could bring to the workplace, ROCKWOOL connected with a new talent pool and hired six employees who have a hearing disability.
