Light It Up! For NDEAM™ spotlights the many ways people who have a disability contribute to businesses and their communities, helping companies be successful and competitive.
Light It Up! for NDEAM is going national!
The first Light It Up! For NDEAM in October 2020 was Ontario wide.
For 2021, we’re collaborating with The Canadian Association for Supported Employment (CASE) and MentorAbility Canada. This joint effort will make this year’s event happen in big cities, small towns and rural communities across Canada.
It’s happening Thursday, October 21.
And you can get involved in your community, to Light It Up! For NDEAM purple and blue, for one historic night.
The more participation, the greater the impact.

2020 Light It Up! For NDEAM highlights
- The first-ever Ontario wide, co-ordinated lighting event in recognition of NDEAM and the importance of disability-inclusive hiring.
- In 16 cities all over Ontario, 28 buildings, bridges, landmarks and municipal signs shone purple and blue for one night (Thursday, October 22). Some businesses in St. John’s, NL, also participated.
